We believe that everyone who is part of Gulf Coast should have the opportunity to serve in some way. Whether it’s using your God-given gifts and talents or doing something that you least expected, please prayerfully consider where you could serve.
We’d love to help! Please complete the form on the next page and we’ll connect with you the appropriate ministry team leaders shortly.
This ministry is the Greeters & Follow-Up Team that extends hospitality to our guests. The team is made up of individuals who love to smile and welcome people on Sundays or at special events.
Leader: Denise Mishler
Our ushers welcome people as they enter our Sunday gathering while also helping with various tasks that make our time together meaningful and engaging.
Leader: Rick Serdynski
This ministry team sets the safety protocols for on-campus emergencies. They collaborate extensively with our leadership team and children’s ministry.
Leader: Jim Watters
This ministry team serves the families and young people of our church on Sunday mornings. A background check is required to participate in this ministry.

At Gulf Coast, we have communion every Sunday. This ministry team is comprised of individuals who prepare the communion elements each week, and those who assist our elders to serve communion to our attendees.
We use grape juice and bread for our communion elements. The bread is freshly made each week and is free of gluten, lactose, and yeast. Our desire is that all those who follow Jesus can practice communion together.
Leader: Jim Watters
Our band practices together twice a month on Thursday evenings, in addition to Sunday mornings. They collaborate closely with the elders, sound team, and slides team. Band members use in-ear monitors.
Leader: Zach McNabb
The sound team creates both the in-house mix as well as our digital broadcast mix. They use a digital board, which enables the band to control their own in-ear monitors.
Leader: Becca Carver
The graphics team runs all slides and presentation elements on Sunday mornings, including song lyrics, scripture verses, announcement slides, and sermon illustrations.
Leader: Katie Mishler
This team includes a handful of individuals who are willing to rotate each Sunday morning to ensure that the sermon is being recorded live on social media platforms. This serves those who are unable to attend in person due to being out of town or shut in.
Leader: Logan Wood
We want to communicate, build relationships, and connect our church to our mission partners who are serving in various mission fields across the globe. To serve on this team means staying in touch with one of our mission partners, looking for ways to serve them, and keeping us informed of their efforts.
Leaders: Mike & Kim Miller
If you have a heart of compassion, a “listening ear,” and rely on God-given wisdom to help those who have needs, we would love for you to consider serving in this ministry. This team ministers to people who find themselves in various tough situations and attempts to steward our collective resources so none would have “need.”
Leader: Ryan Carver
Coordinate and apply skilled trades to maintain/improve facilities or help us with maintenance and various projects if you “have a strong back” or are “a little handy around the house.”
Leader: Reggie Williams
This ministry team serves through planning, decorating, and coordinating our special events. As a church, we love to celebrate and spend meaningful times together. Our event team helps to make these times extra inviting and memorable.
