At Gulf Coast Community Church, we want everyone to feel welcome on Sunday mornings. If you have questions about our gatherings, this page will hopefully help answer them. But don’t hesitate to contact us if you’d like to learn more.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Our normal Sunday morning begins with songs and communion. We dismiss children to NCK and share announcements. Then we have a five-minute break before the sermon. We close with a song and post-service prayer.
We have a parking lot on the west side of our property, and individual parking spaces on the north side. You’re also welcome to park in the grass along 76th Avenue or 5th Street.
On Sundays, we close our driveway between the main building and the education building for safety. If you have limited mobility or need to be dropped off at the door, please let one of our ushers know and we'll be happy to assist.
Please be aware that directly north of us is St. Sava Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church with an alley between the two properties. Our parking spots are south of the alley, along our buildings. Their parking spots are north of the alley, next to their building. Please reserve their parking spots for their congregation.
We serve coffee, tea, and donuts in our hospitality center. It's staffed before and after services and during our five-minute break. Even when not staffed, it's open and available throughout our entire morning service.
We practice open communion, which means that all who profess Christ are welcome to participate.Â
At Gulf Coast, we use grape juice. Our bread is free of gluten, yeast, and lactose.
Our communion team makes our bread fresh each week. The ingredients are: Potato starch, white rice flour, coconut milk yogurt substitute, unsweetened almond milk, tapioca starch, unsweetened whey protein isolate, xanthan gum, honey, aluminum-free baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt.
We understand that many people have food limitations or restrictions, and our heart is that ingredients wouldn't be what stops you from joining us.Â
Please get in touch with us if there's something we can do to help make it possible for you to join us in communion.
Our volunteers happily care for children ages birth - 2 years for the entire service. Children aged 3 and older start the morning in the auditorium with the adults. After the song portion of our worship service is finished, we dismiss children ages 3 to fifth grade to NCK. Our volunteers escort them to their classrooms in the education building next door. Please pick up your child from the education building after the service.
For people new to Gulf Coast, our five-minute break can seem a bit odd. Evolved through the years based on the needs of NCK, it's become an integral part of our community-building on Sunday mornings.
Feel free to use the time to refill your coffee in the welcome center, greet your neighbor, use the restroom, or prayer in your seat.
If you'd like to receive prayer or anointing with oil, leadership will be available at the front of the auditorium at the end of the service. We'd love to hear your needs and bring them before God.
