Who we are
We are a spiritual family. Diverse in age, ethnicity, and background, we cherish deep relationships and living our lives together in genuine community. We strive for unity with other gospel-focused churches in our city and across the globe. Compelled by Christ’s example, our passion is to extend His love to the poor and lost.
Why we exist
We are committed to the Tampa Bay area. We do not believe the gospel can change the Tampa Bay area unless we invest our lives into those who live here. By joining into the mission of God as we worship Him, live life together, and help others follow Jesus, we are carrying out the commission of Jesus which was given to the Church two-thousand years ago. We want to partner with God in his relentless pursuit to put the world to rights. Our prayer is as Jesus prayed, that God’s will would be done, in St Pete and beyond, as it is in Heaven.
Our history
Established in 1993 by a small team sent from Metro Life Church in Orlando, we have grown into a thriving and vibrant community. Over the past three decades, we’ve expanded our reach by establishing new churches across Tampa Bay. Through working with local churches and ministry partners, we have been able to advance God’s kingdom in our surrounding area and across the globe. We have transitioned from having a “senior pastor” to now having a team of elders who lead as a “plurality” and exemplify the biblical model of shared leadership. We also have seen our congregation become more multi-cultural, reflecting the changing demographics of our city and as an answer to our prayers that we would be a welcoming community, diverse yet unified in every way.
