Join in with a small group of people trying to live like family and follow Jesus together. We spend time together, often sharing food, discussing scripture, and looking for opportunities to serve each other and our neighbors.

Why should I join a community group?
We gather to live like the family we already are in Christ to encourage and strengthen one another in our faith. This takes place as deep relationships form and often the best relationships form over time, through the challenges of life, as we see those who stick with us. When we love one another, pray for one another, forgive one another, bear with one another, care for one another (and the biblical list of “one-another’s” goes on and on), we not only are displaying the good news Jesus but we actually are becoming more and more like Jesus! This all must take place in community. We simply cannot practice the “one-another” commands found in scripture alone. We cannot live out the ways of Jesus alone. We need each other.
What should I expect?
Most of our community groups consist of 8-15 people who meet in a home once a week for about two hours. They spend time together, often sharing food, discussing scripture, and looking for opportunities to serve each other and their neighbors. Members are from all ages and stages of life.
Do groups meet every week?
The majority of our groups meet weekly. In months with a fifth Wednesday, we gather that evening together at our building for corporate prayer and praise night, with no groups meeting that week. Groups may periodically cancel as needed due to travel, illness, etc. Some community groups do not meet in December.
What about kids? Is there childcare?
Children are welcome in all of our community groups, but we encourage you to connect with a group leader as every group has different options. Some groups have a dedicated person to watch the kids while others have a dedicated space or room to play with intermittent checks by parents.
How do I join a community group?
We have multiple groups that meet throughout the city. You’re welcome to visit any of them. If you contact the office, we’ll be glad to make a recommendation based on your schedule and needs. We encourage you to visit a few groups and prayerfully consider which one to connect to.
Meeting locations may change some weeks, so we recommend contacting the community group leader to verify the schedule before your first week. If you have additional questions about our community groups, please contact us.
